The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander is a compact SUV with 3-row seating for seven. It depends on bulk of its competitors in terms of quality and performance, Outlander has a tally of versatile features like third-row seats and decent tire ratings. Despite the big-to-the-size size, several contestant improve it in terms of load role and indoor volume. Mitsubishi in-car technology is not our favorite, especially when it comes to the practicals of their Rockford Fosgate systems, simply seem dated and tackled. For 2018, the larger 7-inch screen is standard, Apple Car Play and Android Auto are standard on anything but the basic 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander ES cut-off.Mitsubishi shows the 2018 Outlander vista with new front and rear bumper designs, LED runs, a new center console, and shift lever. The 2018 Outlander comes standard with a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED daytime light, heated side mirrors, 18-inch wheels, seven-passenger seats, two-zone climate control and a leather-winding wheel and shift lever.Many other available features are included in the 2018 Outlander SEL Touring package featuring a multi-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, forward impact mitigation, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, LED headlights and fog lights, heated steering wheel, a 710 watt Rockford-Fosgate sound system, blind change warning with lane change, assistant and rear cross-traffic warning, and a rugged elevator.

Mitsubishi Outlander Engine

The standard engine is a 2.4-liter I-4 engine that delivers 166 hp and 162 lb-ft of torque, delivering an EPA rated 25/30 mpg city/highway with front-wheel drive and 24/29 mpg with all-wheel drive (AWD). The GT trim uses a 224-hp, 215 lb-ft 3.0-liter V-6, available only in AWD and rated at 20/27 mpg. The 2.4 liter is backed by a CVT while the V-6 is connected to a six-speed automatic. In Motor Trend test, the Outlander 2.4 SEL (AWD) hit 60 mph in 9.2 seconds and stopped at 60 mph in a respectable 119 foot.

Mitsubishi Outlander Safety

The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander received the highest five-star rating for the AWD model and four stars for the NHTSA FWD version for the crossover overall score. The Outlander is considered as a 2017 Top Safety Pick + (highest rating) of the IIHS for the highest rating of Good in all accident tests and Superior’s highest rating for evaluating the leading accident prevention.
